Welcome
Here’s the situation: you’re in a conversation with a group of people. There’s a normal sharing of opinions and observations. As you participate, in the back of your head, your mind is spinning with strange, little-known facts you’ve come across recently. Suddenly, someone in the group says something that remotely relates to one of these facts and the mind machinery (think: Rube Goldberg, or the cogs in Chaplin’s Modern Times) and you blurt out, “Did you know that guinea pigs can see a full spectrum of colors, just like humans?”
Depending on the group, the fact is either well-received or ignored with sidelong glances. To you, it matters not: you are satisfied that this buried bit of data has gotten to see the light of day.
And that, my friends, is the nerge.
I heartily welcome you to this forming depository of all sorts of facts and obtuse knowledge I really *have* to share with you.
