Do people still say “heroines”? Or is it defunct, like “actress”? I think it’s funny (as in “smells funny”) that the female version of words are seen as inferior and must be discarded — ’cause you know, you can call a woman an actor, but you couldn’t call a man an actress. That’d be demeaning, like calling him a girl or somethin’.
Which reminds me… how come calling someone a pussy is an insult? Never understood that one at all. I think it should be a compliment, like the archaic “cat’s pajamas” e.g., “My! Aren’t you the pussy!”
So, the point is, I decided to take a few minutes and start my list of favorite people (appearing in the left-hand column for now), some of which I’ve loved for decades. Now I share the love with you. If you don’t know these folks, check them out, give them their props for their insane amount of genius, and throw money at them.
